Beginners Page...

So I forgot to show you the beginners page finished! It's very  simple and basic, and I may add to it now that the class is over. Not sure yet. The inspiration came from Delta Goodrem's song "Born to try" (oh her voice is just so pure and sure, it'gives me chills). I am happy with the colours and the message it conveys.  :)

ME page

Well here's a little peek, not much of it all really, you can't even see the title...aaaahhh but you can if you come along to the class...remember you won't be scrapping my photos or using the paper I used (unless of course you want to?). It's a beginner's class. Book at Fantasia 9524 8688. Saturday 15th September 1030-1230.
There's quite a few in the class already so get in quick...  xxleah

Starting from scrap...back to basics.

Hey everyone! What's been happening? Sorry have been very busy lately and no time to blog. (Hey how funny that the spell check does not recognise the word 'blog'.) Just a note to catch up with what I am working on...
A beginners scrap booking page class is coming up. There are already quite a few ladies signed up, it should be fun and I am really looking forward to it. We will look at and gossip about all the basics, such as colour, balance, matts, weights, space, dimension, photos, patterned paper, adhesives, cutting, journaling, titles etc. etc. and anything else we can think of. I will be using this photo of me and will post a photo probably tomorrow of the page (well some of it, you have to come to the class to see it all...). This pic of of me at Coogee Beach, where I grew up. My best friend (who also grew up there with me) took me there for lunch a few months back. We just went and got "back to basics" where we started, it was a lovely day, hence one reason for the photo choice of back to basics...

Here's a clue..I am using navy blue, lime and browns...mmm interesting. Stay tuned.

So next class up is the More Folds class (above), see you there...

...and YES THERE WERE CAKES!!!!!

More fascinating folds

So I have no idea where this eventuated from. I sat staring blankly at some paper then picked up some different paper and ended up with this lot? The creative brain is such a mess of thoughts isn't it? Funny how it can be such a mess and end up spitting out some orderly and precise? How doe it do that? Anyway, here is the class after the next class. There are 3 new gorgeous folds for you to use on your next cards...
Clases are Monday 27 August 10am - 12 and again on Saturday 8th September 11am - 1pm. Call Fantasia to book 9524 8688...

Bubbly birthday

So here's a bubbly bright birthday card that I made last night for my daughter's friend. I love the colours and the cheery feel it gives. The fold style is cute and the sentiment is too true, also perfect size for a gift card as you can see!...hope it inspires you too...

There's a baby on the way...

NO NOT MINE....calm down girlies...(been there done that twice, not doing it again...)
One of my best friends is having a beautiful baby. He will arrive in October. Wooo hoooo.... *big claps and jumping up and down inserted here*

So to go with the mummy's chosen theme of the "jungle" for the nursery I have chosen this little bundle for the invites. Do you like it? So cute huh?  I will show you what develops from here on. I have it all in my head already. The invites need to be posted easily so I will have to restrain  myself with the bulkiness and  try to go simple (as you know, that is not easy for me...) mmmm....tap tap tap... thinking.

Fun fun fun

What a great day we had today!! SO much fun. I am waiting for the beautiful Dolly to email me the class photo and I will put it here on the blog. Thank you ladies for joining me today, it was a delight to see you all again.  We had a few new ladies today and I am hoping that they will return for more fun. Once again the muffins were appreciated. We munched our way through them and this week they were Orange and Poppyseed mini's. Just to confirm that I really do wake early to bake them fresh I have included a photo below and you can actually see the morning sun shining on them through the kitchen window. I decided that with the theme of the class being colourful matt backgrounds, I should have the muffins in colourful cupcake holders, and here they are... so come on Dolly, we are waiting for the photo hunny bunny.....

OK, so while wandering the creative abundant aisles of Fantasia, I saw these beautiful papers. There are not Christmas papers, but I just thought that they had a little jingle bell *ring* about them. Would you agree? I think Christmas is a time of fun and frivolity and a few wines so I don't tend to lean towards the traditional Christmas hues. I much prefer a cheeky approach with a little "mmmm that's different" feeling for my cards. SO I have chosen the papers below and accompanied them some Kaisercraft Christmas stamps. Now, to create a Christmas class. "What??? Christmas??", I hear you say. Well "Yes", you will hear me say. By the time Christmas rolls around it is oh so busy and too much to do, no time to sit and make cards, so let's get cracking soon. Nothing like being prepared.
Watch this space.

These papers below also managed to hook me by the arm, and tweek my chin. I like the boldness of them. I like  the way they say, "Yes I am bold and beautiful, and proud of it!", so I have taken them home to see what will become of them. This should make an interesting class.

The next class is the tre chic with some more fancy type folds.

Fantastic folding!

*Click on the photos to make them bigger....      :)

Well here they all are, fantastically folding their little fingers off. Well it was a full house for sure, so I hope that I was able to provide attention in the  right capacity to everyone. We had a few new faces today and it was a delight to meet them. I am hoping that they will come back again and we can have another few hours of fun. No fancy plate or photo for the muffin photo today as I ran out of time. They didn't last long and once again I think that they were enjoyed. (Banana and Choc chip yum yum!)

So a HUUUUGEEE thank you to Pam, Kathy, Barbara, Mandy, Isobel, Joan, Barbara, Leslie, Belinda, Mary, Meredith, Robin and Jan.. (We missed you Dolly...) woot woot, what a great day scrapping (well card making to be painfully accurate) we had, THANKS AGAIN ladies I had a ball!

Tres chic class

Well these little gorgeous beauties took my eye while I was wandering around Fantasia looking for inspiration for my next class. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I am am very fond of taupe, black and white with a splash of red thrown in (for fun). So when I saw these I said "ooh lala..." So cute huh? Let's see what I can come up with...

Next Class

Well this is what developed from that lovely stash pile of goodies in the post below:

It includes a waterfall card and a "Z" fold card just for a bit of pizazz....

What's next?

Mmmm well not sure what I will do with this pretty little pile here. I am thinking that we should explore the use of coloured matts (is it mats or matts??) as in background cardstock. I like to use an explosion of colours for a mat sometimes to help *pop* the piece out. Other times I think it's best to go with something that blends. Those of you who know me know that I am a true die hard fan of colour. It lights up the world. Sometimes it's hard to resist it. Anyway, back to this little pile of goodies. Thinking thinking thinking...what is it with Butterflies? They draw me in like a magnet. Perhaps it's their freedom and light hearted ways, not a care in the world as they flutter by...

By the way, the class with the above goodies will run on Sunday 15th July from 11am to 1pm, cost $25, and yes yes yes there WILL be freshly baked muffins for morning tea....book at Fantasia 9524 8688

Reminder...

Remind someone everyday...you can find this here in my madeit store  *click here*

Pineapple Tarts

Here's a page I did last year. It's one of my best friend's (yes I am sooo lucky to have more than 1 best friend)
and I continuing our tradition of taste testing pineapple tarts. We test them from anywhere we are and compare notes...we do have a favourite so far. We have been do this for 30 'ish' years...yum yum...
I love the balance of this page and the circular theme of the pineapple tarts.

I have removed her name to protect the innocent (that would be her not me...) and besides she will kill me if ...eeeekkkkk.....it's ok, I will win her over with another...Pineapple tart.

Starting stamping

Great chitty chatty class last Sunday with Bernie and Jennifer. We were testing out the in's and out's and what for's of beginning stamping. It was fun. What fantastic ladies. I had a great time thanks you girls, I hope you did too! We had a Vanilla muffins this time, (cooked expertly by my little Miss Caitlin, thanks hunny bunnyxx)
So I hope that I shared a few tips and they were able to benefit from the class. No piccies to show this time sorry I forgot to take my camera...ooops...
So next up is the Fancy Folds class on Sunday 24th June, it's also filling up fast, only a few spots left, so get in there girls if you are interested. I am off to dredge my creative banks to fire out 2 more classes if I can...I think the mojo is running "low" but sometimes that very challenge gets me going...

I think I may have time to get some photos developed tomorrow so I am crossing my fingers that I can get some of my own personal scrapping done. It's almost impossible at the moment, but I am busting to do some. Here's a card I made for a 40th quite some time ago, but I still like it. Thought it may give you a little inspiration perhaps...very simple but cute just the same. Why did those big flowers ever go out of fashion I love them   :)
